I adored this book the first time I read it, but experiencing it on audio just made me love it even more. 🧡
Abby Craden absolutely nailed these characters. And Colette? Oh my goodness… her Colette was everything I wanted her to be!! Fierce, hilarious, larger than life and completely impossible not to love! If Yaya stole your heart in the earlier books, brace yourself, because Colette storms in and steals the whole damn show! Abby’s performance only elevated her scenes.
I consistently ask the universe for an ice queen (because I’m obsessed) and Ruby Scott literally replied, ‘Hold my drink, here’s two!’❄️👑
People… there are TWO ice queens in one book!
Tess and Shannon remain equally icy and devastating in entirely different ways. Tess’s sapphic awakening, the yearning, the quiet panic, and the journey to accepting herself had me completely invested. And watching Shannon’s carefully constructed walls come down, one brick at a time, was just as satisfying.
Throw in appearances from our favourite couples, Yaya, the wonderful Kep (who deserves protecting at all costs 🐶), and an ending that still lives rent-free in my brain, and this was every bit as incredible as I remembered. 🥰

I was smiling all the way through this. Colette was such a fun character to write, and I had a feeling Abby would get her exactly right. She completely understood who Colette was.
And yes... two ice queens. I don't think I've ever written a book with quite so much emotional armour in one place.

There are some stories in this world that don’t leave you. For me, Wild Hearts is one of those. Not only because the story itself is just so good. Not only because I became emotionally invested in all the characters, from ice queens Shannon & Tess melting each others hearts, to the lovable and wise Yaya and the wonderful menace that is Collette to, finally, woman’s best friend Kep. But because, before I even got to any of the very hot physical connections, the emotional ones hit home personally, and this drew me in deeper.
Abby Craden’s wonderful narration brought a whole new depth to the already brilliant storyline, really bringing it all to life perfectly. Several times it struck such an emotional chord I literally had to take a deep breath. Not many authors can do that. Ruby Scott can.
I love all the stories in this series and am so glad Abby Craden is bringing them to life. Just the best author/narrator combination and if you love sapphic fiction you really do need this one in your library.

Knowing that Wild Hearts stayed with you long after you'd finished it is one of the biggest compliments I could ever receive. Hearing that Shannon, Tess, Yaya, Collette and, of course, Kep found a place in your heart means the world to me. They're all very real to me, so it's incredibly special when readers feel that connection too.
What really touched me was what you said about the emotional connection hitting home before the romance did. That's always what I'm trying to write first. The chemistry matters, the steam matters, but if your heart isn't invested in these women, then none of it means as much.
And Abby... what can I say? She is extraordinary. She brought these characters to life in ways that still amaze me, and I feel incredibly lucky that she's narrating the Healing Hearts series.
