Abby Craden & Ruby Scott - you’ve done it again. I already loved Curious Hearts, but hearing Jessica and Ali brought to life somehow made me adore them even more. Jessica’s internal chaos had me laughing so hard, Ali is still an absolute dream, and the cats… honestly, they nearly stole the whole book. 😂
Ruby Scott has created one of my favourite sapphic couples, and this audiobook just made me fall for them all over again. Funny, heartfelt, ridiculously easy to binge, and narrated to perfection. I can’t wait for Wild Hearts next - this is such a funny series to binge on audio!

I'm convinced Abby somehow climbed inside Jessica's head because the internal chaos was even funnier than I imagined. Poor Jessica never really stood a chance once Ali turned up... and let's be honest, as for the cats, I'm fairly certain they believe the book is about them anyway. 😂 Abby captured every bit of the humour, heart, and chaos so perfectly.
I have read this story several times because, yes, it is that good, but with all the other stories I have read recently, I had genuinely forgotten just how good this one is 😍 And now to have Abby Craden read it to me? Well, it doesn’t get much better. Ali and Jessica are such wonderful main characters and with Fenna, Kristi and Yaya returning to lend their support to their blossoming relationship, you really do find yourself completely caught up in their world. I was so absorbed in Ruby’s emotional story and Abby’s brilliant narration, the way she nailed each character voice and personality perfectly, I had stripped a wall of wallpaper before I knew it and didn’t want to stop just so I could keep on listening😂 I am also a cat owner, or should I say I am owned by a cat, and can totally relate to the many lessons all the furballs are teaching Jessica, nodding my head in agreement and laughing out loud regularly! It is a story full of funny situations, touching moments and is an absolute joy to listen to.🥰

I already loved Curious Hearts as an ebook (so much that I then bought the paperback), but the audiobook somehow made me fall in love with it all over again. Abby Craden absolutely nailed every emotion, from Jessica’s carefully guarded walls to Ali’s warmth… and don’t even get me started on the cats. 😅 I was genuinely laughing out loud listening to those furry little gremlins relentlessly torture poor Jessica. Abby’s delivery made those scenes even more hilarious.
Jessica is still one of the protagonists I relate to most, and watching those walls slowly come down hits me every single time. Throw in Yaya, a found family you wish you could join, and Ruby Scott once again reminding us why she’s so good at writing women who make your heart ache, and you’ve got an audiobook I’ll be recommending to everyone!
Now… can someone please hurry up and get Wild Hearts and Exposed Hearts into audio? My ears and heart are ready! 👏🏼🧡
