I love Ruby Scotts characters (and what's not to love?!) and, like with a lot of my favourite reads, I really didn't want to say goodbye once their story was over. So, when Ruby offered this opportunity to have a personal correspondance with one I snapped it up. Little did I realise how good the letters were going to be and how good the experience would be for me.
Yes, it's fictitious, and yes it is just for fun but the insightful replies I have had so far have been amazing and considering how little information I gave to start with, frankly quite astounding. It's as if they have been written by someone who has known me for many years. They are written with such care, understanding and thoughtfulness, in perfect keeping with the character I chose, and have touched me so deeply in a way I would never have expected and wouldn't change for anything.
I look forward to each reply with huge anticipation and I am sure my postie will begin to wonder why I will be greeting him with a big smile on my face every time he delivers one!
I love stationary, so the presentation of each letter in a smart linen envelope sealed with a gorgeous wax seal is an added bonus but it is the quality of the contents of the letter that makes this whole experience so unique. Knowing that what is written will touch my soul and make me feel seen and heard is priceless.
